Ryan Tulchinsky was born and raised in the Bay Area. He grew up in a farming community with many different animals giving him a great respect for them. Remembering back to his own childhood dogs; he began to understand the importance of the strong bond developed between man and best friend. He also felt there was a need to make that connection even deeper when learning how to communicate with them. Fifteen years ago, his decision to be an animal behaviorist full time, came soon after he and his wife acquired an Akita,Shannara. She displayed typical behaviors indicative of the Akita breed with extreme independence, a stubborn streak that would put anyone to the test, and at times aggression toward animals. It was then; Ryan's adventure, curiosity, and passion for working with canines on a daily basis became his lifelong quest.
Ryan Tulchinsky, known as the "Doctor to dogs with people problems", was schooled in Northern California. He studied canine behavior, kennel management, basic, advanced and off leash obedience and protection. Continuing his education gives him the edge and knowledge he desires in all aspects of K-9 training, therefore, offering a wide variety of services to you and your dog. Ryan has trained dogs for Protection, Show, Schutzhund, Tracking, Agility, Police work and specializes in behavioral modification. He also conducts dog safety and training seminars to school children and other organizations, educating people about the importance of training and understanding their pets. Glenn Crespo has been working with Alert K-9 Training Center since 2007. His passion for dogs began with his own canine, Phoenix. Glenn’s training has been under the tutelage of owner, Ryan Tulchinsky, and he continues to grow in his knowledge and expertise as a canine behaviorist.
Glenn has been a great asset to Alert K-9 in assisting with training, including Board and Trains, Kennel help and daycare rehabilitation. He is currently the head trainer for the Concord Pet Food Express Store instructing our puppy group classes. In Glenn’s spare time he enjoys spending time with his family, attending 49er and Giants games and coaching soccer.
