DAYCARE

DAYCARE – START HERE

GENERAL INFORMATION

To our past, current and future training clients, welcome to our exclusive boutique daycare and boarding facility!  We take our playtime serious at AK9 and so do our furry friends!  Whether it’s for a place to lounge, play, or learn–with wide open spaces for room to run, our canine companions love to take in the sun rays, sights and smells of our open air “dog barn”  along with our newly covered all-weather, off-leash dog park.

If you are a longtime daycare client or you have never had the pleasure of being part of our daycare pack, you will find we have a very unique approach compared to most other facilities. Our primary focus as a training facility is problem solving issues between owner and dog. We address a variety of breeds, with a wide range of behavioral and social issues on a daily basis. For this reason, we only offer our daycare services to past and/or enrolled training clients that have been approved to join.

The benefits of being a “private” daycare facility are numerous and allows us to maintain a level of quality, familiarity, and obedience during your dogs stay.  Creating a transparent and calming environment  is very important to us. In our new building, we have designed an open floor concept with windows for clientele to see into the daycare/boarding areas. Also, keeping in line with our upfront, serene environment, we have a  ZERO bark policy to aide in making everyone’s stay as calm and stress free as possible.

Please make yourself familiar by reading through the following daycare information..

DAYCARE OR DAY & TRAIN PREREQUISITES

NON CLIENT REQUIREMENTS:

Dogs who have not participated in one of AK9’s training programs are required to be actively training or complete one of our puppy or adult group classes or private classes.  To register for group class please select group training under training drop down menu.  For private training programs please Register For a Training Evaluation first to determine which private training program best suits your needs.

CLIENT REQUIREMENTS:

Dogs who have done training with Alert K-9 Training but have not attended daycare are required to Register For a Daycare Evaluation.

WHAT TO BRING TO DAYCARE
  • Updated shots: Rabies (1 or 3 year), Bordatella (every 6 months), DAPP/DHPP/DAHPP (1 or 3 year)
  • Nylon or leather buckle collar with ID tags attached.
  • Leash attached to training collar or Dogtra E-collar AND BEING USED AS YOU ENTER AND EXIT THE FACILITY.

We are a training and behavioral facility which means there will be dogs present who are NOT friendly with others, please make sure to enter and exit the office on leash and keep your arms and hands in the ride at all times!   When arriving for drop off or pick up, it is important you practice walking with a loose leash–this will assist in setting the “tone” on and off the daycare field.

CANCELLATION POLICY
  • Cancellations are to be made 48 hours prior to your pets drop off date.

  • If you do not cancel within the specified grace periods or you no show, you will be required to pay the days missed.
  • Failure to honor the Cancellation policy can result in forfeiting any future daycare privileges with Alert K9 Training Center.

Please keep in mind we are a private, “boutique” daycare and boarding facility. This means quality over quantity.  We have limited space to accomodate all of the requests that come across our desk for these services.  If you don’t show, another client misses out and so do we!
